Joint Uzbekistan-Korea center for cooperation in e-government and digital economy to be launched in Tashkent

This was discussed during  the visit of Korean National Agency for the Information Society (NIA) delegation led by Young Sik Moon to Uzbekistan.

NAPM held a meeting of the delegation and representatives of the e-government project and the digital economy.

The sides discussed the opening of the Uzbek-Korean Center for cooperation in the field of e-government and digital economy in Tashkent, which is scheduled for May. The center will organize short-term and long-term training courses for the agency’s specialists attract Korean experts to develop a draft e-government development concept in Uzbekistan, and assist in creating a unified data center.

A joint decision was also made to create a working group to coordinate issues on the opening of the Uzbek-Korean center in Tashkent.

Following the talks, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the E-Government and Digital Economy Project Management Center at the National Agency of Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Information Society Agency of the Republic of Korea.
