Uzbekistan prepares for the I International Festival of Applied Arts

President of the World Crafts Council-Asia Pacific Region (WCC-APR) Ghada Hijjawi-Qaddumi visits our country.

On her visit’s agenda is acquaintance with the Uzbek craft school, establishing cooperation with the Hunarmand Association, so it could participate in large-scale projects with WCC member countries. Ghada Hijjawi-Qaddumi  will as well participate in the International Bakhshi Art Festival in Termez.

Ghada Hijjawi-Qaddumi held a meeting with the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, then she flies to Surkhandarya. On April 7-8, she will visit the Fergana region to see the preparations for the I International Festival of Applied Arts, which is scheduled for September in Kokand.

She plans to meet with khokims of the Fergana region and Kokand, as well as visiting the Rishtan school of handicrafts.

  The I International Festival of Applied Arts is scheduled in accordance with the decree of the head of the country "On the International Festival of Applied Arts" from November 1, 2018. It’s already known that it will gather at least a thousand masters from more than 70 countries.
