Uzbekistan develops hematology and transfusiology services

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 February 2020, a Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted on measures for development of hematology and transfusiology services in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as further supporting people suffering from oncohematological and intractable diseases, UzA reported.

Within the framework of the Concept of development of the healthcare system of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2025, a number of measures are being taken for providing the population with affordable and qualitative primary healthcare, emergency medical and specialized care.

According to the Resolution, a Program of measures for development of hematology and transfusiology services in the Republic of Uzbekistan will be approved to raise the hematological care to the population to a new stage, further develop a system for prevention and early detection of diseases, introduce advanced diagnostic methods and develop transplantation technologies in treatment of hematological diseases in this area, strengthen the material-technical base and personnel potential of hematology and transfusiology services, as well as organize additional financial support for treatment of people suffering from hematologic and intractable diseases.
