Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom signed the PCA

Tashkent hosted the signing of the Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The document signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and the UK Ambassador to Uzbekistan Tim Torlotom.

Currently, the basic document governing the relations with the UK, is the Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union on 21 June 1996. But after the British exit from the European Union the composition ( «Brexit») this Agreement shall cease to apply in the relations between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom. Therefore, the British side initiated the conclusion of the interstate Agreement on partnership and cooperation, according to news agency "Dunyo".

 "The agreement covers cooperation between the parties in the political, trade-economic, investment, financial cooperation, in the field of protection of intellectual property rights, education, science and technology, agriculture, energy, transport, health, environmental protection, sustainable development, tourism and culture ", - said the head of the diplomatic mission of Great Britain.
