Two women will make a spacewalk

Astronauts NASA Christine Cook and Jessica Meir October 17 or 18 will make the output in the space with the International Space Station to replace one of the power supply units of the system.

They will guide the work of the system before replacing the unit that has failed over the weekend. This unit controls the supply of electric power in the period when the station is in the Earth's shadow. As noted in the NASA, the ISS provide electricity to the four sections of the battery unit and the fault will not affect the safety of the crew or the course of scientific experiments on board the ISS. At the same time, due to a defective block station receives no additional power supply with the new lithium-ion batteries installed in the two previous spacewalks 5 and 11 October.
