The US launched the Falcon 9 rocket with the Israeli satellite Amos-17

The SpaceX company launched the Falcon 9 launch vehicle on Tuesday. The start took place on the basis of the US Air Force at Cape Canaveral in Florida at 19:23 UT.

According to RG the rocket should put into orbit the Israeli telecommunications satellite Amos-17. It will become the most modern satellite serving Africa, writes TASS. His work will greatly improve the quality and scale of broadcasting, broadband data and communications.
Amos-17 should replace the Amos-5 launched in 2011, the connection with which was lost four years ago, RIA Novosti reported. The new satellite will spend more than 20 years in Earth orbit.
