The 32nd regional conference of FAO in Uzbekistan will be held on May 5-7, 2020

Today, at the meetings held prior to the 41st session of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), FAO and 51 European and Asian agriculture ministers supported the initiative to host the 32nd Conference of the Organization for Europe in Uzbekistan.

This regional conference will be held in Uzbekistan for the first time in Central Asia. The FAO's strategic goals are to combat hunger, to increase productivity and sustainability of agriculture, forestry and fisheries, and to reduce poverty in rural areas.

In the meantime, the delegation headed by the Minister of agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Hodjaev is involved in conversation with representatives of agriculture ministries and other official countries such as China, Egypt, Korea, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, USA and Chile.

The implementation of new FAO projects in Uzbekistan is agreed at the conference.
