Seven dead in a rail accident

A passenger train derailed at full speed in Bihar’s Vaishali in India.

Eleven coaches derailed, at least seven dead, many injured, and number of dead is likely to go up, - The Hindustan Times reports, citing the East Central Railway spokesperson.

The superfast Seemanchal Express, heading from Jogbani to Anand Vihar Terminal in New Delhi, was reportedly running at full speed when the accident took place.

 Initial investigation into the accident has found that the train derailment took place due to a rail fracture. All passenger trains on this route have been cancelled.
