Negotiations on expanding Uzbekistan-EU cooperation

February 4-7, 2019, the first round of negotiations on Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the European Union (EPCA) was held in Tashkent, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

Representative delegations were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov and Deputy Managing Director of the European External Action Service, Luc Devigne.

The sides came to a common understanding on the structure of the draft Agreement and, constructively discussed details of all draft document sections in three groups.

It was decided to hold the second round of negotiations on the EPCA in Brussels.
