President of Uzbekistan congratulates the First President of Kazakhstan

On July 6, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The leader of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev on his birthday anniversary, sincerely wishing him good health, prosperity and new success.
 
The historical role of Elbasy in formation of modern Kazakhstan, the development of strong institutions of public administration and the system of training national personnel, the implementation of effective socio-economic reforms aimed at increasing the country’s competitiveness, increasing its international authority and, most importantly, ensuring a high standard of living of the population were emphasized.
 
One of the successfully implemented major initiatives of Elbasy, the founding of the new capital of the country, Nur-Sultan, which has become the hallmark of dynamically developing Kazakhstan, was noted.
 
The initiatives of the First President of Kazakhstan on ensuring global security and stability, peaceful settlement of conflicts in various regions, deepening integration and sustainable development in Central Asia have gained wide international recognition.
 
Nursultan Nazarbayev made a great personal contribution to strengthening Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan relations of brotherhood, good neighborliness and strategic partnership.
 
Today, multifaceted cooperation between the two countries continues to develop dynamically and expands due to specific joint programs and projects in trade, economic, investment, energy, agricultural, transport and logistics, educational and other priority areas.
 
The leaders also discussed a number of relevant issues on the bilateral agenda and international politics. They noted the need for continuing close coordination and interaction in combating the spread of coronavirus infection, reducing the negative impact of the pandemic on ongoing mutually beneficial cooperation.
 
The conversation took place in a traditionally warm, open and friendly atmosphere.
