Centers of digital knowledge will be established in all regions

The resolution of the President “On measures for the widespread adoption of the digital economy and e-government” was adopted.

The Resolution defines additional tasks for the further development of the digital economy and e-government.

According to the document, it is planned to double the share of the digital economy in the country's gross domestic product by 2023.

The most complete modernization of the country's digital infrastructure and the availability of modern telecommunication services in the regions will be ensured, providing for the connection in 2020–2021 of all healthcare institutions, schools, preschool education organizations, villages and mahallas to the high-speed Internet and improving the quality of communication services.

A special e-government system will be developed, providing for bringing the share of electronic public services to 60 percent by 2022.

“Digital entrepreneurship” will be deepen, the volume of services in this area will increase by 3 times by 2023, bringing their exports to $ 100 million.

As part of the implementation of the Five Initiatives project, by 2022, digital knowledge training centers will be opened in all regions of the country.

In accordance with the Resolution, the Ministry of the development of information technologies and communications is empowered in the field of development of the digital economy and e-government.

Moreover, the ministry, in the framework of the development of the digital economy and e-government, conducts mandatory expertise of projects and technical documentation of state bodies and organizations on the creation and implementation of information systems, resources and other software products, as well as draft regulatory legal acts.

The national agency of project management retains the authority to implement crypto assets and blockchain technology.

The Ministry established the state institutions "Center of project management of e-Government" and "Center for the study of the digital economy", and also identified their main tasks.

In the structure of the central apparatus of the Ministry, a Department of the development of digital technologies in the agricultural sphere and the Department of the development of geoinformation technologies have been created.
