According to experts, the Dorian storm will intensify this weekend and become a very dangerous category 4 hurricane on Sunday, threatening the Atlantic coast of central and southern Florida, Reuters reports citing the US National Hurricane Center. Dorian will accelerate winds to a speed of 209 kilometers per hour in 72 hours, said the Miami hurricane prediction center.

Category 4 is the second most powerful Saffir-Simpson scale for measuring hurricane intensity. The Forecasting Center describes category 4 storms as being capable of causing “catastrophic damage to infrastructure,” including severe damage to even well-built and fortified houses. "Most trees can be broken or uprooted, and power lines can collapse under the influence of wind," the report said.

Earlier, Trump noted that Dorian changed the proposed route, bypassing Puerto Rico in the Caribbean.
