MGIMO branch is to open in Tashkent in autumn

The delegation of MGIMO has arrived in Tashkent to discuss details of the forthcoming V International Forum of MGIMO Alumni as well as the organizing the MGIMO branch in Tashkent.

According to the MFA press-service, on February 9, 2019, the Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Abdujabar Abduvakhitov met with the MGIMO vice-rector for general affairs and corporate relations Artem Malgin, the head of the university delegation.

They reviewed practical issues of organizing V International Forum of MGIMO Alumni in Tashkent that takes place in April. The first forum of MGIMO alumni was held in Baku in April 2013 and was attended by about 400 graduates of this educational institution from 25 countries of the world. In general, the contact base of the MGIMO Alumni Association consists of 50 thousand names.

The questions of opening the MGIMO branch in Tashkent have also been among those discussed. 

It is planned that the Tashkent branch of MGIMO will start operating in September this year, providing undergraduate and graduate programs for Uzbekistan youngsters.
