50 thousand dollars will receive the best student start-up

The official opening of the Republican contest among students of Uzbekistan to develop the best public mobile applications «mGovAward».

The ceremony in the "Uzexpocentre" was attended by Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov and the UAE delegation headed by the Minister of the Presidency and the future of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin al-Abullah Gergavi, UzA reported.

Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov noted that one of the important directions of the state policy of Uzbekistan is to support talented young people. And «mGovAward» - another opportunity to realize the most daring ideas.

The competition is conducted in collaboration with partners from the UAE, aims to develop and strengthen the capacity of students in the field of programming and development of mobile applications. Can participate any student, regardless of the specialization of the university.

It is necessary to assemble a team of three or more people to leave the application on the official website of the competition by attaching to it a video and information disclosing the essence of the idea, or describing the purpose of a mobile application. The participants recommended that the direction for the development of mobile applications: education, health, tourism, culture, entrepreneurship, transport and logistics.

The prize fund is 100 thousand dollars. The amount will be distributed among the winners. The winner will receive 50 thousand dollars. Runner will be allocated 30 thousand, the third - 20 thousand.
To exclude plagiarism contestants will be required to provide the source code for peer review of applications for its borrowing.

Awarding of winners will take place on March 14, 2020.

Timeline Competition:

- from 26 September starts the registration of participants,

- from October 2 to November 30 - the contest coverage in the regions,

- from 1 December to 1 January 2020 - accepting applications for participation from the students,

- from 2 January to 28 February - selection of applications,

- March 12-13, 2019 - days of presentations of participants,

- March 14 - award ceremony.
